Job Description
Job Title : Rotating ICU RN

Experience : Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience
License : Active RN License
Certifications : BLS, ACLS
Must-Have :
2 years of continuous Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience.
Ability to read telemetry strips.
Description :
This position is in a 20-bed Medical / Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
The unit cares for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory failure, Cardiac arrest, Renal failure, DKA, and cardiogenic shock.
Attendings and Residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day.
The RN to patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 for high acuity cases.
Floating to Medical / Surgical Units is required as needed, and telemetry competency is required.
All Day positions require rotational shifts between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as needed.
Night shifts do not rotate.
The electronic medical record (EMR) system used in the unit is EPIC.
