Salem Media Group – LA offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales to lead the radio and digital sales team. We are looking for an ideal candidate that will have strong media industry experience, a solid understanding of modern marketing, and a proven track record of driving business growth.
Responsibilities
• Lead Sales Team: Help the team meet revenue goals through effective audio and digital sales strategies. • Market Relationships: Use your connections in the LA area to grow the business and build long-term client relationships. • Develop Marketing Strategies: Work with Media Strategists to create advertising plans that meet clients' needs. Participate in sales calls and help create successful customer campaigns. • Recruit Sales Talent: Attract and hire top salespeople. • Conduct 1:1 Meetings: Meet individually with Media Strategists weekly to discuss revenue growth and provide guidance. • Lead Sales Meetings: Organize weekly meetings to motivate, train and share best practices. • Manage Performance: Monitor Media Strategists’ key performance indicators (KPI’s) using Salem’s CRM system. Track sales performance against budget and take corrective action as needed. • Reporting: Submit bi-weekly forecasts and maintain reporting for revenue and sales budgets.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in sales management in the broadcast and digital industries.• Must live in the LA area.• Track record of exceeding revenue goals and strong closing skills.• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Familiar with digital advertising strategies (SEO, SEM, social media, etc.).• At least 3 years of relevant experience and 2 years of managing sales teams.
