What are the responsibilities and job description for the HP Digital Press Lead Operator position at Salem One, Inc.?
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM)
Job Summary:
Salem One is looking for an experienced and skilled Digital HP Press Lead Operator with Level I and/or Level II Certified Training to oversee and manage operations within our digital printing department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with a variety of HP digital printing equipment, including the HP Indigo 120K, 35k, 15k, 12k, and/or 6900 roll label press. The operator may be cross trained to help in wide-format printing operations as needed. Experience with other manufacturers of digital printing equipment will be considered applicable experience, and additional training will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Press Operation: Lead the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital printing presses, including HP Indigo 120K, 35k, 15k, 12k, and/or 6900 roll label along with other digital printing equipment.
- Wide Format Printing: Knowledgeable but not required
- Finishing Equipment: Knowledgeable but not required
- Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring printed materials meet high standards and customer specifications.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform and lead preventativemaintenance and minor repairs on all equipment, troubleshooting issues, and reduce downtime to meet production targets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine performance, and any maintenance or repairs as required by company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment for the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining HP Indigo 120K, 35k, 15k, and/or 12k along with other digital printing equipment.
- Preferred knowledge with wide-format printing equipment.
- Preferred knowledge with wide-format finishing equipment.
- Experience with other manufacturers of digital printers will be considered an applicable experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment as needed.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering top-quality prints.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and lead a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and management.
- Flexibility to work the 2nd shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM with overtime to meet clients' needs/due dates as needed.
- Any and all other duties assigned to meeting production demands/requirement to help work through the facility.
Additional Information:
Experience with other manufacturers of digital presses, such as Fuji, Xerox, Ricoh, or Konica Minolta, will be considered relevant. Training will be provided for candidates who may need additional experience with specific equipment used in our operations.
