What you will do:
Shall be responsible for performing and directing the performance of custodial duties in a building. Shall also be responsible for the daily custodial services required to provide a clean, well-maintained inviting building environment. Typical duties are, but not limited to: cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing, buffing and waxing floors, dusts and scrubs walls, washes windows, woodwork, furniture and performs other cleaning tasks to keep rest rooms, laboratories, corridors and other areas clean and orderly; minor painting projects, changing light bulbs, policing grounds, sweeping walks, cutting lawns, removing snow and ice, caring for custodial equipment, receives, unloads, stacks and delivers housekeeping supplies, ordering custodial materials, carries out refuse, waste and/or garbage; may collect, wash, sterilize and replace vessels and utensils in laboratories; operates small electric or manual tools in the performance of the above tasks, operating low pressure and heating ventilating systems and making minor repairs to buildings, equipment and heating, lighting, ventilating and plumbing systems.
Qualifications:
- Have demonstrable skills and be proficient in the above listed duties.
- Highly responsible.
- Self-motivated.
- Able to take directions.
- Possess the skills required to:
- Develop and follow a program to properly clean and maintain the facility.
- Develop and maintain an inventory program for custodial supplies and equipment.
- Properly maintain and make minor repairs to the custodial and maintenance equipment at the site.
- Work cooperatively with the Principal of the School, the faculty, and the Director of Building Services to provide and promote a clean well maintained and inviting school environment.
- Prior supervisory preference, but not required.
- Current authorization to work in the United States required.
