Senior Accountant - On-Site

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Office Team Member to join our accounting department as an Sr Accountant. This role is crucial in managing and supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable, proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel, and possess excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable functions including processing invoices, verifying transactions, and reconciling statements.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to accurately record financial transactions and maintain up-to-date records.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and creating financial spreadsheets.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports as needed.
• Perform general bookkeeping activities such as journal entries, accounts reconciliations, and maintaining ledgers.
• Maintain communication with vendors regarding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support the accounting team with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Proactive attitude with a "get it done" approach to tasks and deadlines.
• General understanding of accounting practices and principles.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
