Overview:

The Assistant Director is responsible for providing career counseling and programming in individual, small group formats, in-class presentations, and events for students and alumni in support of the development of students' short and long-term career goals. The Assistant Director also manages and teaches the Career Services Career Compass class. Assists in marketing career center programs campus-wide, and developing job and work-based learning opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two-five years career counseling/experiential education experience in a college environment
  • Experience with program promotion, development, and management
  • Experience and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Computer literate, experience with databases desirable (e.g., Handshake, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with career-related resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and group presentation skills
  • High-energy individual with the ability to juggle multiple tasks

Working Location

This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
