Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting financial decision-making processes within the organization.

Duties

• Conduct financial auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform cash flow analysis to monitor the organization's financial health.
• Assist in budgeting processes by preparing detailed budget reports and forecasts.
• Utilize Sage accounting software for various accounting tasks and reporting.
• Execute bank reconciliation to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Provide expertise in wills, trusts, and estate law as it pertains to financial documentation.
• Manage general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support clerical duties related to accounting functions, including data entry and filing.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review and decision-making.
• Collaborate with corporate finance teams to analyze financial performance and develop strategies for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of financial principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in financial auditing, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and collaboration with team members.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
