Role Description
We are looking for a staff accountant who aspires to grow into a leadership role in accounting and finance. You will report directly to the VP of Finance and be given the opportunity to take on increased responsibility as the university grows.
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Day-to-day tasks include bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and analyzing financial data. This role is based in Indianapolis, IN, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting
- Skills in Bookkeeping, Managing Financial Records, and Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Financial Analysis, Tax Compliance, and Auditing
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum Hire Rate:
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
