Title: Admissions Representative
Reports to: Executive Director of Enrollment Management

Job Summary
Salem University seeks a personable, student-focused professional with experience in recruitment and admissions in higher education. Admissions representatives guide school applicants through the application and admission process. Admissions representatives explain academic programs and answer any inquiries regarding applications and enrollment in accordance with state and federal accreditation and University policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards. We are looking for candidates with experience working with students in healthcare, allied health, and integrated health programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with prospective students.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process i.e., Student contact and follow-up, and enrollment.
- Connects with prospective students by making and answering phone calls, emails, and text.
- Utilize Lead Database for documentation and reporting.
- Virtually meeting with prospective students, parents, and other school officials to discuss available programs and services
- Explaining school policies and procedures to prospective students and parents
- Assisting with the development of marketing materials such as brochures and print ads to promote the school to prospective students and parents
- Identifying potential applicants through recruitment efforts, such as visiting high schools to meet with counselors and teachers, attending college fairs, and participating in community events
- Maintaining records of all interactions between staff and prospective students or their parents
- Communicating with prospective students, alumni, faculty members, and other stakeholders via phone calls, emails, text messages, or social media such as Facebook or Twitter
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication, organization, time management and documentation skills.
- Ability to think at the goal level (versus task) and demonstrate good logic and proactive thinking.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude.
- Has a track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving and clear oral and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with high level of collaboration and proactive mindset.
- Able to work occasional non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to prioritize and respond effectively to multiple demands.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience preferred.
- Experience working with international students preferred.

Minimum Hire Rate
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Salary range - $45,000-$55,000
