Veterinary Receptionist
Seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Receptionist at an established Veterinary practice in Virginia Beach, VA. One (1) year or more experience in the veterinary field are preferred. Qualified Veterinary Education Participants may be considered. Hours may include some weekend and holiday kennel shifts.
Successful candidates will have a willingness to learn, strong technical skills, be reliable, and work well in a team environment. This is a physical job that requires proper animal handling skills and the lifting of animals, some over 50 pounds.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- handling and restraining of animals during examinations and surgeries
- surgical preparation and assistance
- anesthetic monitoring
- radiology
- cytology and laboratory procedures
- sample collection and processing
- nursing care
- injections and surgical after care
- hospital and kennel maintenance
- client education
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $16.50 per hour
