Art Enrichment Instructor - Salem YMCA

If so, this opportunity is perfect for you! As an Art Instructor in our Enrichment Program, you will lead after-school activities designed to engage and inspire school-age children.

Your role will focus on program planning and instruction, helping students explore their creativity, develop new skills, and build confidence outside of traditional school hours. What You'll Do :

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum that encourages creativity and self-expression.
• Lead hands-on activities in various art forms, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where children feel encouraged to explore their artistic abilities.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for participants.
• Adapt lessons to accommodate different skill levels and interests while keeping activities fun and engaging. Who You Are :
• Experienced in teaching or leading youth programs, particularly in an educational or enrichment setting.
• Passionate about art education and enthusiastic about inspiring creativity in young learners.
• Skilled in curriculum planning and able to develop structured yet flexible lesson plans.
• A strong communicator who can connect with children of varying interests and abilities.
• Energetic, patient, and dedicated to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. • Must meet or exceed qualifications for a Group Leader as defined by licensing agencies
• Preferred education, BA / BS in education, youth services, recreation or related field or equivalent work experience
