How YOU will Contribute:
The Licensed Practical Nurse Applicant (LPN-A) administers nursing care in a skilled nursing community under the direct supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), and operates under the direction of physician orders. Provides basic medical care including assessing resident condition and monitoring for changes in condition, wound care, administering medication, resident/caregiver education, obtain specimens per physician orders. Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Participates in an extended training and orientation process prior to working independently.

Requirements for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Salemtowne:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) education program.
- Received North Carolina Board of Nursing and Authorization to Test (ATT) letter.
- Must successfully pass NCLEX within 65 days of employment.
- CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified.
