Grades K-8 - Physical Therapist
(1 Position Total)
Qualifications (Required):
- Valid License as a Physical Therapist.
- Successful experience as a physical therapist.
- Experience implementing direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) for students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.
- Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) services to students on IEP’s.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
- Write end of summer progress reports for each student served
Duration:
103 hours total to include the following:

- Professional In-service Day (7/1/2025 - 3 hours)
- 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 7– August 7 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).
Salary: $37 an hour, $3,811 total (20 days/5 hrs 1 inservice at 3 hours)
