The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering and managing compensation programs and processing payroll for all employees at Sales and Merchandising Services (SMS), which exclusively serves CBICorporate. This role ensures the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, while also analyzing job positions, determining salary structures, and maintaining compliance with legal and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the company’s compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and bonuses.
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in employee hours, salaries, deductions, taxes, and bonuses.
- Conduct job evaluations, salary surveys, and market research to establish equitable pay practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation and payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Handle payroll tax reporting and coordinate with external vendors or agencies to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions related to compensation and payroll.
- Prepare compensation and payroll reports for management and assist with audits or reviews as needed.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records, ensuring accurate employee data.
- Support the development and implementation of compensation strategies and policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and compensation management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HR software.
