What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Director USA&CAN position at Sales and Merchandising Services?
Objective:
Plan, organize and coordinate sales operations, as well as teams, to achieve sustained growth that allows achieving sales targets and compliance with budgets in an efficient and profitable manner. Ensure compliance with all processes, policies and procedures at the National USA&CAN level under your responsibility based on the guidelines established by the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the sales strategy according to the business goals committed by the company with the board
- Lead the regional sales managers and teams across the United States and Canada, proving guidance and strategy support to serve the distributors and customers.
- Lead negotiations and agreement with current customers and distributors in order to achieve business goals.
- Follow up the strategy and tactical execution through indicators.
- Rationally manage resources according to the assigned budget
- Execute the plans and objectives of the commercial
- Evaluate, coordinate and motivate the performance of the staff in charge based on the established objectives.
- Manage results based on budgets and objectives.
- Execute actions that increase the customer base.
- Develop and guarantee a culture of customer service based on defined processes.
- Collect market information from the competition for its respective analysis.
- Analyze and design the incursion into new channels, markets or territories.
- Raise awareness of the sales forecast based on the distributors' requirements.
- Execute special sales campaigns for products that require a specific boost.
- Represent the company at various commercial activities or events of corporate interest.
- Coordinate with marketing and trade marketing activities and promotions that ensure the proposed objectives.
- Follow up on growth plans for clients assigned to your sales territory.
- Develop the talent across the sales department in line with the company HR strategy
- Others required by the business needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Leadership and influence with multicultural teams
- Able to work in a fast pace environment with multiple priorities
- Strategic agility and managing vision
- Business savvy and strong knowledge of food and beverage of ethnic markets with latino products in the US as well as mainstream stores for US products.
- Financial savvy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business , economics or marketing or related fields
- Master Degree in business and economics, marketing or commercial areas
- More than 15 years related experience required working in the US
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel no less that 50% of time across the US and Latin America
