We are seeking a skilled and experienced Email Deliverability Specialist to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our email communications consistently reach subscribers' inboxes, maintaining high engagement and deliverability standards. As part of the Email Team, you’ll work closely with the Vice President of Email and contribute directly to the success of our high-volume email programs.
Position Overview :
The Email Deliverability Specialist will monitor and optimize the deliverability of over 15 internal email programs, which collectively send hundreds of millions—up to billions—of emails monthly across 15 different brands. This hands-on role requires not just the ability to identify deliverability challenges but also the expertise and experience to implement practical, real-world solutions effectively. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the day-to-day realities of managing high-volume newsletter programs, demonstrating both technical expertise and problem-solving skills gained from hands-on experience in similar roles.
This position is remote, with most of our team based in Orlando, FL. While we operate primarily on Eastern Time and collaborate via Slack, our Downtown Orlando office is available for meetings or daily work if needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor and analyze email performance metrics, including bounce rates, open rates, and spam complaints.
Implement and maintain email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Identify and resolve deliverability issues related to content, sending frequency, and list quality.
Work with the acquisitions team to determine daily and monthly subscriber intake levels, ensuring balanced growth that protects newsletter domain deliverability while meeting aggressive growth targets.
Proactively address and troubleshoot real-world deliverability challenges as they arise.
Collaborate with team members to optimize email templates and content for improved deliverability.
Manage sender reputation to maintain positive relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Set up and configure new Email Service Provider (ESP) accounts for newsletters or special projects.
Stay informed about industry trends, email regulations, and changes in provider policies.
Work with ESPs and deliverability vendors to troubleshoot and enhance email performance.
Set up and maintain reporting dashboards for good visibility with key stakeholders
Provide strategic recommendations and actionable guidance to improve overall email marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications :
3-5 years of experience in email deliverability.
Expertise in email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Proficiency with email deliverability tools and platforms.
Strong analytical skills to interpret email performance data and make data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated ability to implement solutions to real-world deliverability challenges effectively.
In-depth understanding of email marketing best practices and compliance with anti-spam regulations.
Experience managing large-scale email programs (hundreds of millions to billions of emails monthly).
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
Problem-solving skills to effectively address deliverability challenges.
Familiarity with email compliance regulations and anti-spam laws.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
