We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to drive growth for our client, a leading manufacturer of premium art supplies for the Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, and Fine Craft industries. In this key sales role, you will build strong relationships with existing retail accounts while identifying new business opportunities in established and emerging markets. Your expertise in selling consumer brands across multiple retail stores will be vital in shaping our client's growth and success, significantly contributing to their competitive edge.

Key Performance Objectives: What does success in the job look like?

  • Revenue generation year-over-year growth of agreed-upon targets,
  • 40 Customer visits per month.
  • Learning and becoming vested in the products & services of the company's product lines.

The Key Account Manager is essential for driving growth in major accounts in the USA market. This role focuses on establishing a strong internal framework that ensures compelling product offerings, efficient operations, and exceptional client service, ultimately fostering strong partnerships and long-term loyalty.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and being the primary contact for internal and external customers.
  • Delivering accurate analytics on account performance.
  • Driving growth for our client's product line through strategic push and pull activities.
  • Expanding distribution of fine art brands via permanent displays and seasonal promotions.
  • Take the lead in identifying the internal infrastructure and process requirements necessary to support the customers who are currently aligned with our client.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on strategies and operational execution.
  • Collaborate with the department and the general manager to implement solutions that enhance efficient account management and creation.
  • Create strategies to gain entry into new retailers and organizations to increase market share.
  • Prepare and present account reviews and reports to the general manager.
  • Create and develop new tailored campaigns for deep penetration into new key accounts.
  • Do market research to stay updated on trends and identify business development opportunities that support brand activities.
  • Work with the team members to enhance business in line with brand goals while optimizing return on investment (ROI).
  • Monitor customer performance and implement account plans to maximize profitability and volume at retail.
  • Deliver timely reports on account performance, trends, and risks, using data to adjust strategies and conduct regular business performance reviews.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proven track record of achieving sales, profitability, ROI, and budget goals.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Skills/Qualities

  • In-depth understanding of the North American retail landscape, with established relationships or access to key decision-makers at retailers and distributors.
  • Proven experience in leading and establishing internal processes for new market segments.
  • Strong track record in market retailing.
  • Successful collaboration in a cross-functional environment.
  • Effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in monitoring category performance against plans and communicating results effectively.
