THE COMPANY :
This stable company in the greater Portland, Oregon area specializes in distributing high-quality construction building materials to contractors across the nation.
Their established sales team is growing and are now ready to hire a new salesperson who will be trained to have a successful supply chain sales career.
THE JOB :
This industrial inside sales job involves managing the full sales cycle.
Day-to-day this involves sourcing inventory, quoting, managing product logistics, and ensuring successful delivery to customers. During the first year in the role you will have access to hands-on training which will set you up for a successful career. Expect to work in an office South of Portland, OR Monday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays.
This is a fantastic career opportunity for a tenacious salesperson who is eager to learn, comfortable conducting cold outreach, with basic math skills. After building your book of business, reps enjoy taking advantage of the firm's uncapped commission potential.
THE QUALIFICATIONS :
- 2 years of sales experience required. Construction, logistics, supply chain, or other related industry exp is preferred but not required!
- Experience cold calling
- Strong basic math skills for pricing and logistics calculations
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Coachable and resilient with strong interpersonal skills
- Open to occasional travel (once a quarter)
- Must live in PDX area in Oregon, able to commute South of Portland (4 days in office required to start)
THE BENEFITS :
Salary : $80,000 - $200,000
