The Data Cloud Technical Architect is a demonstrated thought leader in technical and functional aspects of customer engagements that lead to the successful delivery of Data Cloud projects.

This role is in CSG Professional Services, on the Data Excellence team. Its functions are split equally between delivery and internal employee enablement, whereby half of the role is customer-facing and involves serving Salesforce's enterprise Data Cloud customers as a technical advisor on their Data Cloud trials and implementations, and the other half is spent on enabling CSG employees on Data Cloud by providing technical expertise, documenting reference architecture, building reusable assets, running live enablement sessions, and providing from-the-field feedback (Voice of the Customer) to the Product and Engineering organizations to contribute to product enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce Data Cloud
  • When engaged with customers, assist with project leadership and help exceed goals and metrics while providing insights on Data Cloud recommendations
  • Lead mentorship and enablement programs to help scale Data Cloud technical and functional knowledge within Delivery Services
  • Coordinate and lead Practice meetings to encourage and share knowledge with members of the team
  • Engage in continued, self-directed professional growth and development
  • Deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT) scores by ensuring value is realized through each engagement
  • Align closely with Account and Services sales teams and partner in pre-sales activities such as scoping, engagement plan development, and project staffing
  • Manage multiple (typically 2-3) strategic clients simultaneously to meet a 50% billable target
  • Inspire people to do the best work of their careers by being a multiplier and amplifying the knowledge and capability of the people around you, while continuing to provide an inclusive workplace to continue Salesforce's ranking as one of the Best Places to Work
  • Become recognized as a valuable and trusted advisor by our customers and other members of the Data Cloud community, and continue to build a reputation for excellence in Professional Services
  • Act as an escalation point for Data Cloud when needed

Preferred Qualifications and Skills :

  • Relevant Salesforce Data Cloud experience or equivalent Customer Data Platform experience, e.g. Adobe Real-Time CDP, Tealium AudienceStream, Segment, ActionIQ, Treasure Data, etc.
  • Marketing database / data warehouse experience preferred, e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, etc.
  • Experience with data management concepts, including master data management (MDM), data integration, data transformation (ETL), and big data management, preferably using cloud-based tools / infrastructure
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification
  • Relevant Salesforce experience in Sales & Service Cloud as well as Marketing Cloud, related certifications is a plus (Marketing Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, etc.)
  • Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids, and the ability to conceptualize and create sophisticated diagrams and documents
  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn new technologies quickly and thoroughly
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and lead discussions such as implementation methodology, architectural roadmaps, enterprise transformation strategy, and executive-level requirement gathering sessions
  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Privacy concepts and regulations a plus
  • Willingness to travel when needed (expected to be less than 10%)

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133,400 to $268,900.For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,300 to $244,500.For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,300 to $244,500.For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133,400 to $268,900. For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133,400 to $268,900. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $133,400 to $268,900. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,300 to $244,500. For Minnesota based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,300 to $244,500. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
