The software engineer role at Salesforce encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality.

The Marketing Cloud Personalization Team is focused on providing real-time machine-learning driven recommendations to marketers across all their channels. As the customer base continues to grow, we are actively investing in scale, automation, and performance initiatives. This full-stack team is responsible for the following product areas : data ingestion, identity resolution, rules / segmentation, catalog, and reporting.

Your Impact :

Architect, design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable products.

Master our development process, culture and code base, then improve it.

Operate optimally in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are expected to be able to design and execute the vital work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers'.

Work closely with product managers, user experience experts and performance engineers

Present your own designs to internal / external groups and review designs of others

Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit / functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.

Proactively implement metrics in your product areas to spot any issues before customers do.

Code in Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for full-stack web development.

Required Skills :

3 years of proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying highly scalable web applications using Java, JavaScript, Spring, distributed systems, and REST APIs.

Strong knowledge of web technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JSON, and TypeScript.

Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python.

Experience with automated testing frameworks for unit and functional testing, such as Selenium, Jest, Java, TestNG and Groovy.

Participate in the team's on-call rotation, addressing complex real-time problems to ensure service availability and operational stability.

Experience with full software development lifecycle in fast-paced, agile, and dynamic environments.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in Git and GitHub is required.

A related technical degree is required.

Willing and able to commute to either the Boston or Burlington Office 10 days per quarter as we embrace returning to the office.

Understanding of Gen AI concepts and applications

Experience with Grafana and Prometheus
