Job Description

As a Software Release Manager at Salesforce you are responsible for the continuous delivery of application releases supporting mission critical services used by the world's largest enterprises! You leverage product management practices to define and program management practices to lead innovative initiatives focused on customer experience, scalability, continuous delivery and team development. You use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of major product releases, weekly patches, and daily changes in a SaaS environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
  • Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company.

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiar with Service Ownership and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience managing SaaS Cloud Application releases.
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform and products.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management.
  • Public cloud infrastructure knowledge.
  • Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic.
  • Ability to manage/juggle multiple priorities without loss of efficiency.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $306,600.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,800 to $334,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
