What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITIES OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MGR position at Salina Regional Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY
Position Summary:
Assists in the coordination of day to day activities of department staff involved in repair and maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment. Helps to minimize interruption of plant operations and patient care. Consistently looks for ways to improve the efficiency of systems based on current industry recommendations or new technology with particular emphasis on improving efficiencies of utility systems. Works with the Operations Manager the rest of the management team to monitor work order completion and helps to maintain equipment in preventative maintenance programs. Will assists staff with repairs as necessary. Works with the management team to complete annual evaluations of direct report personnel. Monitors compliance throughout all owned and operated buildings with Life Safety Codes, local, county, and state codes. Works with the management team to insures that preventative maintenance is completed on time and in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer guidelines or industry-accepted practices. Assists with the management of building security systems such as doors, locks, cameras, and other automated building systems. Works with the Operations Manager to provide oversight of contractors that are making repairs to building systems. Communicate with appropriate staff any utility shutdowns related to building repairs. Communicates status to appropriate staff on critical systems repairs. Other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Trade school or college graduate in engineering field preferred.
