What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver - PC #1170 position at Salinas Union High School District?
Under close supervision of the Manager of Transportation, operate a school bus or other passenger vehicle over designated routes within an established time schedule; perform daily and weekly inspections of a bus or transportation equipment; perform minor bus maintenance, as required. Must have knowledge of the provisions of the California Motor Vehicle Code and the California Education Code, Title 13, applicable to the operation of vehicles in transporting students and staff. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Class A or B California Motor Vehicle Operator's License with passenger and school bus endorsement, without airbrake restriction required. The Salinas Union High School District is one of the largest high school districts in Northern California. We currently serve 16,000 students in grades 7th to 12th at our twelve (12) school sites and another 2,000 adult students at our adult education center. The SUHSD boasts rigorous academic programs geared at preparing all students to graduate with the skills necessary to be successful in our ever-changing society.
