Department: Human Resources Salinas Valley Health Summer Intern Program Get your career started at an award-winning 263-bed acute care hospital in Monterey County. Details: Program exemplifies our commitment to our community, youth education and workforce development. Program designed to introduce Salinas Valley Health and provide an innovative experiential learning opportunity. Through experiences, students gain exposure to careers within healthcare including business, finance, human resources, hospital operations, patient experience, nursing and more. For each of these opportunities, the intern will partner with leaders on special projects, department operations, and processes improvement. Requirements: • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program (preference to Juniors / Seniors). • Available at least 8 weeks of the 10-week, program starting June 09, 2025. Timeline: • June 09: Program Starts • July 12: Program Mid-Point Gathering •Aug 22: Program Ends A selection committee is formed to review, select and place the summer interns. The committee reviews applications, resumes and cover letters then selects ten students for on-site interviews. The committee completes the interviews with each student and selects students to join the program. The committee places the students in the selected departments The hourly rate for this position is $21 hourly rate. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
