Department: Rehab Services Works under the supervision of the Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist in assisting provision of Rehabilitation treatments. Provides support by preparing treatment areas and patients for treatment. Completes necessary clerical duties, restock supplies as needed for smooth departmental operations. Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. Provides Rehabilitation Services non-skilled interventions under direct supervision of a Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist. Prepares patients and treatment area maintains Rehab Department supplies, returns equipment to appropriate storage area. Assists in maintaining documentation regarding treatments and results as requested by professional staff or Director. Ensures that persons who work for, are serviced by, or associated with the Hospital receive the highest degree of attention and courtesy possible. Assumes role of charge aide regularly. Adheres to established Hospital safety standards. Ensures department goals are met. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED. Licensure: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards. Experience: Six (6) months of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Intact fine and gross motor coordination in order for employee to operate equipment and provide manual treatments. The hourly rate for this position is $29.61 - $32.64. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
