This is a contract position posted by EDUStaff and leased to Saline Area Schools.
REPORTS TO : Before and After School Care Supervisor
JOB GOAL : To provide quality care and enriching learning experience to the children enrolled in the program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of a variety of daily activities to help children develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
- Supervise children to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all participants.
- Comply with local, state and federal laws as well as district policy and regulations related to programs.
- Operate the copy machine, computers and other equipment as needed.
- Light lifting may be required.
- Keep the equipment and facilities clean and organized.
- Answer the phone.
- Interact with parents as they pick-up and drop-off children daily.
- Serve as a "goodwill" ambassador to the public for the program, the Community Education Department and the Saline Area Schools.
- Remain abreast of current trends, knowledge and attitudes affecting child care and Before and After School Care programs.
- Pool days which involve swimming with students (not serving as a lifeguard) are expected.
- Perform other tasks and duties related to the program as assigned or appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS :
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 2.5-4.5 hours a day.
EVALUATION : Contract employee's performance shall be evaluated at least once within the first 90 days of work and at least once annually thereafter.
