Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to residents and supporting healthcare professionals in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately and safely under the supervision of a nurse
- Maintain medication records and ensure documentation is complete
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Monitor residents for any changes in condition and report to the nursing staff
- Provide compassionate care and support to residents in various healthcare settings
Requirements
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner and Epic
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Basic physiology knowledge to ensure safe medication administration
- Experience in hospice care, dementia care, tube feeding, or related areas is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
