What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or (MT) position at Saline Memorial?
Must meet the qualifications and requirements listed in Section IV of the HCFA-114 for the level of testing performed.
An Associate’s degree in Medical Technology is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties or task may be requested or assigned by immediate supervisor, his / her designee, or other management / supervisor.
Provides for receipt and ordering of tests
- Assesses specimens and order acceptability
- Performs computer functions, (entry, edit and cancellation and billing of tests)
- Processes specimens according to departmental policies and procedures
Provides for performance and documentation of tests
Provides for Quality Control / Quality Assurance
