Job Summary
Extensive travel to high schools, college fairs, community colleges and other recruitment events. Assessment of first year and transfer applications and transcripts for admissibility, contact with prospective and current student applicants, communication both orally and written with both internal and external customers.
Authority and Accountability
This person reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related experience. Ability to present persuasively in front of an audience; relationship building skills, high motivation to achieve goals, professional presentation, skill in designing and managing on-campus and off-campus programs, valid driver’s license with less than 5 points required for extensive travel.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and professional experience in an educational environment, communication, sales and/or marketing and bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred.
