Job Summary
The HR Talent and Organizational Development Specialist will be responsible for leading our initiatives for faculty and staff by enhancing employee skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, creating engaging learning content, driving organizational development strategies, lead onboarding initiatives, and facilitate learning throughout Salisbury University.
Authority and Accountability
This position will report to the Director of Employee Engagement and will not be a people manager.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
The items listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics required for this position. Please include minimum level of education, degrees required (if any), relevant work experience, credentials, licenses, certifications, special skills, and physical requirements.
- A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, business administration or related field.
- 5-7 Years of experience in training and development with a proven track record in designing and delivering training programs
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively engage with Faculty and Staff.
- Proficient in instructional design and the ability to create engaging training materials.
- Knowledge of various training methodologies and tools, including e-learning platforms.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and other learning software
- Ability to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt training approaches to meet the diverse needs of faculty and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or equivalent would be preferred.

The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
