Job Description:

Under direct supervision, performs routine security activities to protect buildings and property and safeguard occupants and visitors during normal operations and special events.

Job Summary

Perform security details in assigned buildings and parking lots, assist with special events and sporting events as well as any other duties that may be assigned.

Authority and Accountability

Direct report to Security Guard Supervisor Alan Mainor. This position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, must possess a valid non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver’s license with less than 5 points for moving violations, must be able to pass fingerprint and background investigation, have basic computer skills, have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, be able to complete basic reports and paperwork, be able to perform extensive sitting, standing and walking, be able to communicate effectively and operate a two-way radio.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of prior security experience.

Additional Job Information:

The position is a Contingent II, Full-time, non-exempt position.
