Job Description:
Sallee Horse Vans is looking for a dispatch clerk to join our team. Our dispatch team is responsible for overseeing all activities associated with transporting horses in the US and Canada. The job duties include, but not limited to, answering the phones, taking shipping requests, creating bills of lading, tracking drivers on delivery efforts, while following all company procedures and Department of Transportation regulations. Previous work experience in the thoroughbred industry is not required, but a plus.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in Logistics, including scheduling drivers and tracking hours of service
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Strong organizational skills
- Customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft products and logistics software
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Work weekends in rotation with other dispatch staff
