Summary
Perform duties as assigned by Supervisor in the preventive and corrective maintenance of fleet equipment. Assist in the fabrication and repair of fleet equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen. Must have a valid driver's license. May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations. Individual must be able to read and follow instructions, both verbal and written. Individual must be able to lift up to 100lbs. Must have own tool set (list of tools will be supplied in interview).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Individuals are exposed to both indoor and outdoor elements.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Airbrake certifications from an accredited technical institute is required. Class A CDL and welding experience is a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services on a variety of fleet equipment including trailers, box vans, passenger vehicles, gooseneck trailers, gooseneck trucks such as fluid/filter changes, lubrication/adjustments, inspections, etc.
- Perform corrective maintenance services on a variety of fleet equipment including trailers, box vans, passenger vehicles, gooseneck trailers, gooseneck trucks such as air brakes, tires, electrical component troubleshooting and repair/replacement, air bag suspension systems, shocks, PSI systems, ABS systems, air line replacement/repair
- Operate forklift and scissor lift
- Utilize pneumatic air tools, hand tools, electric tools, hydraulic tools
- Mount/dismount trailer tires
- Work in elevated areas
- Perform FMCSA Federal Annual Inspections
- Fill out maintenance checklists, forms, decals
- Drive company equipment to pick up parts and supplies
- Other duties as directed by the Shop Supervisor
- Report to work as scheduled
- Complete tasks as assigned
- Must maintain a safe, drug and alcohol-free work environment
