What You'll Contribute
As an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll join one of our scrum teams and focus on building and executing test automation for Salesforce solutions with AWS integrations focusing on Student Loan Processing. While test automation will be your primary responsibility, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to regular software development tasks. You’ll work with Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, and various integration technologies. What You'll Do
- Develop and implement automated test scripts, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, for applications built with Salesforce and integrated AWS services.
- Write and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright and other relevant automation technologies.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and maintainability of applications, providing input during the design and development phases.
- Assist in building and executing test plans to ensure the quality of the software and validate that all requirements are met.
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of automated tests and applications.
- Gain experience with AWS serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and integrate them into test automation practices.
- Develop skills in working with SQL Server to build and optimize database queries, validating backend functionality as part of the automated testing.
- Grow your craft as an SDET by learning the latest test automation tools, methodologies, and technologies through mentorship, training, and hands-on projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (recent graduates or upcoming May graduates welcome).
- Strong foundation in programming concepts and object-oriented principles from coursework or personal projects.
- Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (coursework or personal projects).
- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies, particularly in the realm of test automation and cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts, technologies, and testing methodologies.
- Programming projects (academic or personal) demonstrating full stack development capabilities.
- Exposure to testing methodologies or automation frameworks (unit testing, integration testing, or browser testing tools like Playwright or Selenium).
- Experience in cloud services (preferably AWS) and serverless technologies.
- Exposure to C# or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience with source control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform or CRM concepts.
- Participation in hackathons, coding competitions, or open-source contributions.
- Interest in or exposure to agile development methodologies.
