JOB SUMMARY Sallyport Global Holdings is seeking an Electrical Technician Senior. The Electrical Technician Senior is responsible for a broad range of electrical maintenance and repairs, inspecting/testing and alterations of existing distribution systems, and identification and repair of circuit faults. The Senior Electrical Technician reports directly to the Electrical Superintendent/Foreman. The Electrical Technician Senior will actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission, and values. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains, repairs, and replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems supporting construction and maintenance activities. May supervise a team of local nationals and ensure that the installation and repairs of electrical systems are in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and/or British Standards (BS 7671). Work directly with tools of the trade, performing testing, terminating, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing the duties of subordinate positions as needed. Ensures that all work performed fully complies with applicable sections of the NEC and/or British Standards (BS 7671). Daily tasks include testing, wiring, terminating electrical connections, general installation of circuitry and components, troubleshooting, moving materials, and related activities as required. Perform inspections and assist other electricians during inspections or other assignments. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, instructions, and other technical documentation. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping duties. Identify proper materials suitable for the use, listed, and as required for specific installations. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing the required personal safety equipment. Understands the safe operation and applications of instruments provided for circuit analysis and testing, including power analyzers, ground rod resistance meters, ground fault loop impedance testers, residual current device testers, and similar test equipment standard in the trade. Classify electrical distribution systems, troubleshoot circuit faults on various applications. Perform other duties assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. A valid journeyman license or proof of training, competency, or certificate of completion from an Electrical Apprenticeship program is preferred. Minimum of six years of experience required as an electrician. Good working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and/or British Standard (BS 7671). Prior Military and/or AFCAP/LOGCAP experience. Must pass a successful background check. All employees must read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending. Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods. Physically fit to stand and bend for prolonged periods of time.
