JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of project operations by overseeing the day-to-day activities of the PMO Operations Center staff, including Operations Coordinators, Liaisons (LNOs), Train/Transition, and Escort employees. This position is responsible for controlling, monitoring, and documenting event execution throughout the program life cycle. The Operations Supervisor supports the Project Operations Manager and Project Management Leadership in achieving program objectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders. Additionally, the Operations Supervisor assumes the responsibilities of the Project Operations Manager during their absence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Project Operations Manager with daily operational tasks to fulfill contract requirements.
- Provide oversight and supervision in the compilation and preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and improvised reports for internal use and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
- Supervise the execution of daily coordination tasks, including the collection and relay of information for incident/accident reports.
- Ensure the reporting processes align with best practices and incorporate lessons learned.
- Support Project Management Leadership in implementing directives from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
- Assist with Crisis Management Actions (CMAT), contract-wide personnel accountability, and Non-Combatant Evacuation Coordination (NEO).
- Prepare and disseminate base-wide notifications and updates to company, USG, and SAT-Client personnel.
- Provide operational staffing support to the Project Erbil Operations in the absence of the Manager, to include sustainment of professional relationships with the company’s Erbil partners.
- Operations Supervisor is to fill the role of the Train/Transition Manager to implement, lead, and oversee IqAF training/transition efforts.
- Coordinate with Iraqi Leadership, Base Commander, and Base Train/Transition Officer.
- Coordinate w/IqAF for access to Sallyport work areas in support of train/transition.
- Forward and discuss effectiveness with Iraqi Leadership of ongoing Train/Transition effort.
- Bridge cultural gap between Iraqi and western cultures to enable congruent training process.
- Maintain direct communication and coordination with key stakeholders including OSC-I, MOD, PMNOC, Base Commander, Intel Commander, US Embassy, Corporate HR, Legal, CMO, Finance, Erbil Ops, USG COR, and AFSAC.
- Coordinate logistics planning and critical supplies management.
- Support mortuary affairs and MEDEVAC operations.
- Facilitate visiting client and subcontractor security, billeting, lodging, and transportation.
- Assist in evacuation planning and MASCAL response.
- Review and ensure compliance with SOPs and Performance Work Statements (PWS).
- Oversee personnel accountability and maintain the East Gate Tracker.
- On-call 7 days a week to address any emergent issues by rapid response.
- Other duties as developing project requires.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of university study or equivalent desired.
- Verified experience with overseas contracts or international private business.
- Eight (8) years of experience in DOD and/or civilian operations management environments required.
- FMS/LOGCAP/AFCAP/Military management experience required.
- Full understanding of information/operations center functions
- Confidentiality and trustworthiness while working with Proprietary and Confidential information
- Attention to detail; able to multitask independently and work in high stress work environment.
- Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills; dependability
- Proficient knowledge of various computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Work experience in hazardous and/or austere environments highly desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
- Ability to work long hours, often exposed to weather and possible hazardous conditions.
- Candidate should be aware of the possibility of moving on short notice under adverse conditions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues in a courteous, professional manner.
