Job Summary :
Salmon Creek Post Acute and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team. The CMA will be responsible for administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse and supporting the nursing staff with essential patient care tasks. This role is vital in providing our residents with a safe, dignified, and high-quality standard of care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Medication Administration :
Accurately administer prescribed medications, including oral, topical, and subcutaneous, according to facility protocols and under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document medication administration and any observed effects in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines related to medication administration.
Resident Observation and Communication :
Monitor residents for any adverse reactions, side effects, or changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse on duty.
Patient Care Support :
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, as needed.
Record-Keeping and Documentation :
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of administered medications, patient responses, and any relevant observations.
Team Collaboration :
Work cooperatively with nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to enhance resident outcomes.
