- Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, management information systems, or related field; or
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in computer science, data processing, management information systems, or related field, and two (2) years of experience involving the maintenance or installation of personal computer hardware and software; or
- High school diploma or possession of high school equivalency diploma and four years of experience as defined in (b) above; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by limits of (a), (b) and (c) above.
- Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Participate in the day-to-day help desk support.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve varying tiers of IT requests
- Collaborating with District Staff to determine AV needs before an event
- Troubleshoot technical issues and repair improperly functioning devices.
- Multi-task, prioritize, and work in a flexible, changing environment with multiple deadlines.
- Test components for usability and disposition as needed.
- Inventory control of parts from devices retired and purchased.
- Replacement of LCDs, keyboards, motherboards, and system components.
- Install and maintain software on Chromebook devices to meet the needs of students.
- Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Transporting, setting up and connecting all audio-visual equipment for live performances
- handles sound and video equipment in various settings, such as concert venues, sports arenas, conference rooms and classrooms, including operating during live events and troubleshooting any issues that occur during the event.
- Testing the equipment to ensure everything is connected correctly and the signal is strong
- Installing permanent AV equipment in offices or classrooms
- Working with clients and performers to ensure the equipment meets their needs
- Cleaning, repairing and maintaining all equipment
- Creating records about inventory, maintenance and other key details related to the equipment
- Providing technical assistance to users of AV equipment
