Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic, career-minded, skilled Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans that are essential for the construction and manufacturing processes. This role requires proficiency in various drafting software and a strong understanding of engineering principles to accurately translate concepts into visual representations. This challenging and rewarding position offers opportunities to engage with high-end architectural, furniture, and sculptural projects in incredibly unique ways.
Duties
- Develop detailed drawings and specifications using RHINO software, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and design specifications.
- Draft mechanical designs, ensuring precision in dimensions, materials, and tolerances.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or changes in project scope.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing accurate drawings.
Skills
- Proficiency in Rhino and/or other CAD software
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel, Adobe design software (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work
- Experience working in either an established trade, fabrication or production shop, or an architecture/design firm.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
