Role Description

This is a full-time / part-time, on-site role for a Barber, Braider or Cosmetologist at SALON SERENITY in Grand Rapids, MI. The beauty professional will come in ready to work and grow as a team. Each professional will be responsible for providing hair and makeup services, performing beauty treatments, consulting with clients on styling options while maintaining a 3 to 5 star review per service, and keeping a clean professional and organized work area. Stylist will only provide services they have perfected until trained to expand service list.

Qualifications

• Hair Styling, Makeup Artistry, and Beauty Treatment skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of current beauty trends and techniques
• Cosmetology license is required in the state of Michigan to perform particular services
• No license is required if providing natural hair services, braids or similar styles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment
• Experience with hair coloring and cutting techniques
• Up-to-date on safety and sanitation practices
• Willing to learn
• Ability to adapt to change
• New to the profession - willing to learn new skills and techniques
• Seasoned stylist willing to continue to grow
