Salon Services PRO is a professional beauty distributor based in Washington serving licensed professionals in the beauty and wellness industry. With over 200 employees in 10 states and 30 store locations, we have grown into one of the largest independent professional distributors in the country. We are proud to have a diverse portfolio of 50 brands that encompass best and brightest beauty brands. Additionally, we offer education, business consulting and other forms of support for today’s licensed beauty professional.
We are currently seeking a Store Shipping Manager to support the store in all things shipping receiving and inventory. They are a key part of the management team for their store location and help the stores be successful in sales and operations through their expertise in Shipping.
What You’ll Do
This position requires a knowledge of team leadership, management, picking, packing, receiving and organization. They must also have a strong and effective solution-oriented skill set. The Store Shipping Manager is responsible for the overall Shipping experience in their store location as well as shipping of all pick tickets that are released in the store location. Excellent human relations skills are required. This position requires initiative, a highly developed sense of responsibility and effective time management. Individuals on our team must be customer service-oriented, be a respectful team player, and have a keen ability to troubleshoot in creative manners. They are responsible for the shipping and receiving needs at their store location. The Store Shipping Manager is a key part of the management team for their locations and oversees such duties as Inventory, Special projects, recruiting, hiring, and training for their team. They help promote the company culture to encourage morale and performance. Job duties include:

- Leadership and Culture: Continually drives and develops Salon Services culture by nurturing, supporting and promoting the company mission, values, vision and brand. Model effective coaching behaviors at all times, resulting in high performing Store.
- Planning: Manages store through plans developed with their Store Manager. Measures and reports store performance via daily touch bases and monthly Performance Development Meetings (PDMs). Direct the Store Ship team to achieve the objectives of Salon Services by executing action plans with specific deadlines to ensure positive results in shipping.
- Supervision: Provides leadership in the day-to-day management of the stores shipping assistants.
- Communication: Communicate priorities upward and downward in a solution-oriented manner. Ensure proactive and collaborative communication with management, operations, distribution center and home office for greater efficiency and attainment of Salon Services strategic plan.
- Direction on inventory needs.
- Interdepartmental relations.
- To oversee all shipping, receiving, and inventory duties in a shipping store.
- Development of all store shipping staff.
- Responsible for the on-going recruitment, hiring, training, and development of store shipping staff in partnership with Human Resources, District and Store managers
- Proficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint in presentations
- Ability to manage special projects within the store such as but not limited to; remodels, IT upgrades and updates.
- Operates within approved budgetary cost controls
- PDMs completed and sent to direct manager 1 business day prior to scheduled PDM
- Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Attend required company functions. This includes but is not limited to weekly huddles and sales meetings.
- All other assigned tasks
- All policies and procedures detailed by Salon Services PRO are to be followed and maintained by the showroom District Manager.
