Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

I am seeking a Hairstylist who is passionate about this career. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Must be Licensed Cosmetologist. Minimum 1 year Experienced preferred . This is a commission based salon, with NO "CHARGE BACKS". I do not rent chairs. we work together and help each other. If you bring a clientele I pay a higher commission. I will help build a clientele for the right stylist. If you are in search of a comfortable, low stress salon to continue your career, this could be your salon. If you have makeup application experience , that would be a plus. I can be somewhat flexible with the schedule. Looking for some one who will be available at times and days that need coverage. Must work Saturdays.

Duties

• Provide professional hair styling services, including cutting, coloring, and styling hair to meet client preferences.
• Perform nail care services as needed, ensuring a comprehensive beauty experience for clients.
• Utilize techniques for hair extensions and barbering to cater to diverse client needs, not required, but helpful.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired looks and provide expert advice on styles and products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
• Engage in upselling of products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive salon atmosphere focused on customer service.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs
• Expertise in hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, and treatments.
• Knowledge of nail care practices is a plus.
• Experience in store management is beneficial for maintaining operational efficiency.
• Ability to upsell products and services confidently while providing excellent customer service.
• Skills in barbering techniques are advantageous for catering to male clientele.
• Experience with hair extensions is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.25 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
