Position Title: Director of Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry is the driving force in the faith and spirituality for the Salpointe Catholic High School Community. Campus Ministry seeks to nurture and develop the spiritual lives of our students. Through Masses, daily prayer, retreats and other formational activities, we invite and encourage every student to seek God’s presence in all things and live authentic Christian lives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic with a degree in theology, ministry, or related field and/or demonstrated training, expertise in ministry
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Ability to manage and direct staff under their supervision
- Proven experience with young adults in the classroom, ministry, community service and student life
- Ability to plan and implement ministry activities that represent our school philosophy and mission.
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to utilize technology, being efficient with computer software programs such as Google Suite.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Carmelite charisms of prayer, community, and service are evident in all aspects of campus ministry.
- Be visible and approachable around the school campus.
- Coordinate liturgies
- Collaborate with all academic departments to implement school-wide classroom spirituality and participation in Campus Ministry events.
- Lead campus ministry team in the design and implementation of a four-year school retreat program.
- Lead the campus ministry team in the design and implementation of spiritual/reflection opportunities for students, faculty and staff
- Supervise the Diocesan Ministry Certification process for faculty by communicating program opportunities available to support needed formation.
- Provide a welcoming environment that nurtures opportunities to increase student engagement.
- Foster student leadership in pastoral ministry and service (Campus Ministry Student Team).
- Collaborate with the counseling department regarding student health and wellness.
- Supervise Carmelite internship program during the first semester, engaging the intern in projects and programs to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the ministry.
- Manage the Campus Ministry budget.
- May teach theology class (no more than two), as needed.
- Supervise and complete yearly reviews of direct reports
- Perform other duties as assigned by principal
