Location: Miami Beach, FL & Provincetown, MA (Seasonal)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Split between Miami Beach, (50%) and Provincetown, (50%)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Rooms Operations Manager to lead the guest services and room operations at our year-round hotel in Miami BeachFL, and our seasonal resort in Provincetown, MA. This unique role requires the candidate to split their time between both locations, ensuring exceptional service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, a curious approach to service recovery, and a passion for guest and employee engagement.


What You Will Do:


1. Front Office, Housekeeping & Guest Services Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping, ensuring smooth check-in, check-out, and overall guest satisfaction.

  • Implement and maintain service standards, ensuring a welcoming and efficient guest experience from arrival to departure.

  • Lead service recovery efforts with a problem-solving mindset, taking a proactive approach to addressing guest concerns and feedback.

2. Employee Engagement & Development:

  • Manage, coach, and mentor the Front Office and rooms team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.

  • Promote staff engagement through ongoing training, clear communication of expectations, and performance management.

  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of staff in collaboration with HR, ensuring adequate coverage at both properties.

3. Business Operations & Financial Acumen:

  • Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and revenue management strategies to maximize profitability at both locations.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to oversee departmental budgets, labor costs, and expense management, ensuring financial objectives are met.

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and guest feedback to identify opportunities for operational improvement and service excellence.

4. Service Recovery & Problem Solving

  • Take a hands-on approach to resolving guest issues, ensuring timely and effective service recovery to maintain guest loyalty.

  • Develop and implement procedures for handling complaints and guest concerns, maintaining high standards of customer service.

  • Encourage a culture of curiosity and resourcefulness in addressing guest challenges, turning potential issues into opportunities for service improvement.

5. Seasonal Transition & Resource Management

  • Manage the unique demands of operating in both a year-round (Miami Beach) and seasonal (Provincetown) environment, adjusting staffing, inventory, and operational strategies as needed.

  • Lead the preparation and shutdown of the Provincetown resort for the seasonal opening and closing, ensuring seamless transitions between the two locations.

  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage purchasing to meet the needs of each property, optimizing resource use across both locations.

6. Guest & Employee Engagement

  • Engage with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, personally attending to VIPs, repeat guests, and high-value clients.

  • Foster a culture of guest-focused service among the team, encouraging personalized attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.

  • Build a rapport with the staff, encouraging open communication and collaboration, while maintaining high morale and team spirit.



What you will need:

  • 5 years of hospitality leadership experience in a Front Office, Room Management, or similar hospitality role, with demonstrated success in guest service leadership.

  • Strong business acumen, including experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management.

  • Excellent problem-solving and service recovery skills with a curious, resourceful approach to guest satisfaction.

  • Proven ability to engage and inspire both guests and employees, fostering a positive atmosphere.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work in a seasonal environment.

  • Willingness to relocate or travel between Miami Beach and Provincetown for half of the year in each location.

Salary Range:

For a Rooms Operations Manager position with split responsibilities across two locations like South Beach and Provincetown, the salary range typically falls between $80,000 - $90,000 per year. This range may vary depending on experience, specific responsibilities, and the properties’ standards. Additional benefits include travel allowances, housing support to/from Provincetown, phone stipend, and parking.
