What You Will Do:
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals with attention to quality, presentation, and speed, ensuring every dish meets Salt Hotel’s high standards.
- Recipe Adherence: Follow existing recipes and presentation specifications, as well as contribute to the development of new creations, maintaining the unique dining experience our guests expect.
- Kitchen Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and food preparation standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and fresh, and help minimize waste.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and the dining room team to ensure seamless preparation and delivery of food, enhancing the overall dining experience.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Participate in training opportunities to enhance culinary skills and stay current with food trends and safety regulations.
What You Will Need:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably within a hotel or a high-end restaurant.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A creative flair for food preparation and presentation, with a willingness to explore new culinary techniques and flavors.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple food orders accurately and in a timely manner.
