Salt Lake Behavioral Health is searching for an amazing Music Therapist to assist on a part-time basis.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. The Music Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic and evidence-based Music Therapy services at Salt Lake Behavioral Health in order to meet the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and cultural needs of patients as a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). This position involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and supporting patients in their mental health journey. The Music Therapist strives to build a strong therapeutic alliance through empathetic and continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling. The Music Therapist is responsible for conducting assessments, facilitating MT group interventions, documenting progress, and discharge planning for assigned patients.
