Position Summary:

Growing precision machine shop located in Imperial, Pennsylvania is currently seeking Mastercam/CNC Programmer. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years CNC machining set up experience, with a focus on quality and productivity. He or she will be self motivated, able to work independently as well as with a team. Have a desire to continuously improve their skill sets and technical knowledge. The Manufacturing Technician/CNC programmer will assist in developing, evaluating and improving production and processing methods and controls in manufacturing to achieve operational success. Works with other engineering team members on recommending an implementing operational sequences, equipment utilization and tooling improvements and efficiencies to ensure cost, quality and operational improvements. He/ She will assist in establishing work measurement standards and play and active role in ensuring quality, safety, and lean manufacturing systems and processes.
Key Job responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Beginning to End Part Management
- Provide technical support for product development and design.
- Create and edit CNC programs that support the machining of complex, precision metal components fabricated on multiple-axis CNC milling & turning machining centers (CAM file generation, post processor machine code generation) Mastercam.
- Perform machining process development & optimization (part setup/fixturing, machining strategy/order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed process parameter selection).
- Identify, Select and procure appropriate tooling for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability).
- Perform program prove-out validation (computer simulation tools, first time process reviews).
- Work with machinists, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers to identify process improvement opportunities (reduced machining/ setup time, improved part quality, reduced manufacturing risk) and incorporate required changes (technical performance improvements, improved manufacturability).
Position is days (7:00am-3:30pm). Starting rate salary is $37 - $42 depending on experience, and includes benefits after probation period of 90 days.
