Under limited supervision, the Test Proctor’s responsibilities include welcoming and checking in test candidates, verifying ID, and administering a variety of exams. The proctor also monitors candidates during testing. The proctor works and interacts effectively with students, instructors, and College staff to create a secure, efficient and courteous testing environment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Greet tester and verify ID.
Provide instructions to student regarding his/her test.
Seat candidate and launch test.
Proctor test, including monitoring candidate via video surveillance.
Maintain the cleanliness of testing area.
Answer phone.
Operate office equipment.
Work with and protect confidential information.
Operate electronic mail and messaging systems.
Accurately organize and file test materials in both paper and electronic formats.
Look up student and other information in RegisterBlast and the College Information System (Banner).
Enforce required policies and procedures firmly and courteously.
Provide accurate and consistent information in a clear and articulate manner.
Provide excellent customer service to all visitors to the testing center.
Assist departmental personnel with other duties as needed.

Hiring for morning shift. You must be able to work all hours/days in the selected shift :
Morning hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Fridays 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
On occasion, hours may vary due to college needs and may be required to cover periods of high testing volume, staff absences, etc.
