Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for swimming and a strong ability to teach and motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels. The assistant coach will be responsible for developing training programs, enhancing swimming techniques, and fostering a positive environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork.

Schedule
March 17th - June 6th, Monday- Thursday, 5:50-7:10 pm, Friday, 4:50-6:10 pm
June 9th - August 15th Monday-Friday, 8:50 - 11:10 am, Wednesday 4:30-7:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of individual swimmers and groups.
- Teach swimming techniques, safety protocols, and competitive strategies to participants.
- Monitor swimmers' progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Organize and lead practice sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff members to support the development of each swimmer.
- Maintain a clean and safe swimming environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in organizing swim meets, events, and competitions as needed.
Skills
- Strong background in sports coaching with an emphasis on swimming techniques.
- Experience working with students in a coaching or educational capacity is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to effectively engage children and young adults.
- Familiarity with martial arts or judo can be beneficial for promoting discipline and focus among swimmers.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in physical education is advantageous.
- Ability to foster teamwork through cheerleading or similar activities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and motivate swimmers.
- A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and safety within the aquatic environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 12 per week
