Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that engage children and promote learning through play.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain health records as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in babysitting or caregiving roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of toddler care practices and early childhood education
- Have a bachelor's or certificate degree in Early childhood education, nursing, or in a child-related field from a college or university
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a must.
- Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Experience working with toddlers is a plus.
- A compassionate attitude towards working with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Must have at least 2 years experience in education (or previously worked in a daycare/childcare facility with a positive reference from a previous employer.
- Have a minimum of 24 hours of higher-level training in the early educational field.
- Must have a positive attitude, and love to work with children.
